Some things you should know; I love writing but I'm just a novice which means I'm not that good. Also I'm really bad at updating, but I'm slightly better if I think someone's actually reading my blog. But the thing I'm worst at is finishing.
Thanks for reading anyway. Please leave comments. And if you want me to continue any story leave a comment or message me on Facebook or email me.

The Last Girl on Earth Part 3

Keep in mind this story isn't very realistic not even if this actually happened. I sort of imagine it would be something like this though.

The Last Girl on Earth Part 2

The next morning when I woke up my entire body was aching. I groaned. My head had this unimaginable pounding, my muscles were all sore, and I was covered with sweat. I felt like I had just been running for miles or done some sort of other extreme physical activity. It was weird. I glared at my alarm clock before I snapped it shut.
I started to get ready, not too long after I finished getting dressed and was putting on my make-up, I heard a knock on the door. "Rachel?" I heard my dad say.
"Yeah, dad?" I said.
There was a long pause. "Do you know where your mom is?" he asked in a quiet voice.
I immediately opened the door. "You don't know where mom is?" I said.
He put his head in his hands. "When I went to bed she was right by me. When I woke up she wasn't. I have a feeling something weird is going on.
"Maybe she woke up before you and went to the grocery store or something," I said.
"Well, if she did that was awfully mean of her. Because she didn't bring her cellphone for one thing," he said lifting up her phone. "And she didn't leave a note."
Right then his cellphone started to ring. "Hello?" he said.
"She is, mine is too.
"No, Rachel's still here.
"One moment, I'll ask her." He put his hand over the receiver. "That's Mr. Sargent, his wife is missing too. But so is his daughter. Natalie didn't say anything to you, did she?"
Natalie was missing? "No, but I could try her cellphone," I said. "She never goes anywhere without her cellphone."
He put his mouth back over the receiver. "No, she hasn't heard anything. She's going to give Natalie a call though.
"I see," he said. And then to me, "she doesn't have her cellphone with her. Mr. Sargent says that he found both his wife's cell and his daughter's."
Didn't have her cellphone! For some people that might be normal. But one time I went out with her and we couldn't even get two minutes away from the house before she realized that precious device of hers was missing. Something weird was definitely going on.
"Maybe she went to school. She mentioned that she needed to go early one of these days to get caught up with her math class. I'll go to school and see if she's there and call her dad if she is," I said.
Honestly I was so flustered by how weird this morning was that I forgot to finish putting on make-up, doing my hair, and I skipped breakfast. I jumped in my car, luckily remembering all the things I would need for school, and started driving to school.
It wasn't until I got to school that the weirdest thing that had happened all morning happened. I arrived to school and started looking around for Natalie, but not only could I not find her, I couldn't find a lot of people. And everyone seemed to be looking at me. A few minutes later I realized not only had I not seen a lot of people but all the people that I hadn't seen were girls. As I recalled this morning I realized I hadn't seen a single girl all morning except when I was looking in the mirror. It was if all the girls in the entire city had just picked themselves off and left.
This shocked me, but I had been looking for Natalie for quite a while and the first bell rang. I started to head to class. I was going to be completely on time this time. That should make Mrs. Johanson happy, I thought as I wandered into the classroom.
It shouldn't have been any surprise to me that she wasn't there, but for some reason it was. This whole missing girl scenario was freaky, strange, and distressing. The boys who were already sitting down stared at me as I took my seat. I think they were just as confused as I was that I was the only girl I had seen all morning. The class didn't have the same buzz as it normally did every morning. It was silent and it felt like a dark mist covered the classroom.
The principal came on the intercom. "Students. Students. I know this morning has been stressful but please continue to your class in an orderly fashion and turn on your television. And remember, we can get through this together." His voice was strained like he was trying to sound optimistic.
One of the boys stood up and clicked on the television. I'm not sure what channel it was on, but it was the news. The announcer didn't look very put together, in fact he looked very stressed. He started talking. "Breaking news! It seems like all the females in the world have gone missing. I'm going to have to excuse my co-anchor, Bailey, today.
"All morning men all over the world have woke up to find their wives, sisters, grandmas, aunts, mothers, and other women gone. The reason why only the women seem to be missing is a mystery and scientists have put off all other investigations to work on this phenomenon. This is a national crisis.
"If you have seen any females or are a female please call this toll-free number at the bottom of the screen." A number showed up at the bottom of the screen.
All the women in the world!!! How did something like this happen? Wait, did this mean that I was . . . the last girl on earth?!? And if all the women had gone missing, how was I missed? Why wasn't I with all the other girls? This just had to be a bad dream, there was no way this was real. It felt real though.
"We're getting a lot of phone calls from a high school over in Utah. They say that their classmate, Rachel Kendall, has come to class today. If you are Rachel and you are currently listening to this broadcast please call this number," the announcer said with a hopeful sound in this voice. While I had been having my inner-dialogue I hadn't noticed that practically every boy in the room had pulled his cellphone out.
A few boys offered me their cellphones but I politely refused and pulled out my own. I quickly called the number and told them my name.
"Please hold," I heard a male voice say.
The announcer started talking again. "We're on the phone currently with this young lady that is still here. Rachel, are you there?" I heard both on the TV and in my phone.
"Um, yeah, I'm here," I said looking at my classmates.
"Do you know what's happened to the female population of the world?" he said.
"Um, no I don't. I have no idea what's going on. Am I really the last girl on Earth?" I said.
"Seems like it. Rachel, do you have any idea of how you missed this fate? Is there something unique about you that might have helped you?"
"No, there's nothing special about me. I'm very normal in every way."
He asked a few more specific questions that the answer to every question was no.
"So you don't know anything about this?" he said.
"No, I'm just as stumped as you. All I can tell you is that when I woke up this morning I felt like I had just been working out very hard," I said.
"Huh? Interesting. We'll keep in touch, Rachel," he said. "We're getting a report from one of our lead reporters in New York City. To you, Chad." The screen changed to a man standing in the middle of the street surrounded by other men.

The Forgotten World Part 15

The Forgotten World Part 14

Rocky had a harder time getting up, but with a little persistence from Zoe she was able to make him get up. She handed him his clothes and looked away while Jacob and he got ready.
Zoe was pleased to find out that the clothes she had been given, fit her perfectly. They felt comfortable on her body. She was wearing a brown and white short sleeve shirt and pair of blue jeans. She slipped the pendant around her neck. In the glass world, she never wore jewelry. But she was pleased with the pendant she had received. To her it was a sign of being welcomed, of acceptance. And wearing it made her feel like she thanking the tribe for letting her be here.
Then she picked up the shoes, two brown boots, they looked like they went about mid-calf. Zoe remembered how much the raw elements of the surface grated against her feet. She needed to wear the shoes to actually protect her feet. She pulled them on. They fit perfectly, how they had guessed her shoe size exactly was beyond her. The shoes suffocated her feet and made her feel cut off from the floor beneath her feet. But then she looked at them and laughed a bit. She knew if she wore these around the people of the Glass World, she would still would get made fun of. They weren't fashionable at all, in fact, they were kind of ugly. Wearing shoes for practical reasons actually made sense to her. Wearing shoes to get around faster and do be fashionable didn't.
It wasn't too much longer when Leah came bounding into the room, knocking first. “He says you can, he says you can,” she said very excitedly. “You get to work with me. You're lucky, you know, I'm one of the best herders there is.”
“Well, then, I should feel lucky, shouldn't I? To have such a great teacher?” Zoe said. “I'm excited to get to work with you.”
Leah smile grew. Jacob rolled his eyes. “I'll help you too, Zoe. Since I abandoned my hunting trip I don't have anything to do for my job,” he said smiling at her.
Zoe looked down at Rocky. “What about, Rocky? He'll just be lonely all day if we all leave him.”
“Yeah, Jacob, he'll just be lonely all day. Why don't you stay here and I'll go with Zoe?” Leah said with a smug voice.
Jacob also looked down at Rocky. He liked Zoe but he was already not to fond of Rocky. He really didn't want to be stuck here with him. But Leah had a point, herding was actually her job and Jacob didn't have one today. Whether he liked it or not, he had taken both Zoe and Rocky as his responsibility and he needed to show Rocky some hospitality.
As he was about to volunteer to stay, Rocky spoke up. “I don't really need someone here all day.”
That was exactly what Jacob wanted to hear. “Okay, good, my mom should be done making breakfast, then all she has to do is clean it up, and she'll be up here in a jiffy. Plus, today's Saturday so Rachel doesn't have school today.”
“Sounds good to me, I'm going to work on getting us back to our world, where we belong,” Rocky said.
“You going to be okay?” Zoe asked.
“I'll be fine.”
“Great, let's go, we're already late,” Leah said. “We'll get breakfast in about an hour.”
They wandered through the halls and out into a large field, surrounded by a homemade fence, that it looked some people were still working on. But that's not what amazed Zoe. Standing around all over the field were at least fifty people surrounded by hundreds of animals in every corner. She was startled by all the animals in the same place and actually began to feel a little fear again.
“C'mon, Zoe, just this way,” Leah said once she realized Zoe was following her anymore.
Jacob was standing behind Zoe and he put his hand on her back and gently pushed her forward. “You nervous?” he asked her.
“A little. They're not going to hurt us, are they?” she said jumping as a cow walked right by her.
Jacob laughed. “That depends. What are you planning on doing to them?” he said.
“Nothing,” she said giving him a startled look.
“They have more reason to be afraid of us then we do of them,” he said smiling at her.
They followed Leah over to where two kids, a boy and a girl, that looked about Jacob and Zoe's age were standing. The boy had a very concerned look on his face and was wearing clothes that were covered with dirt. He was talking to the girl. She had a long braid that touched the bottom of her back. She had thin blue eyes and a large mouth that was formed in a smile. That smile grew when she saw Leah. Both of them looked at Zoe and Jacob.
“I'm Marcus,” the boy said pointing to himself. “And this is Eve.” He pointed to the girl.
“Looks like we got another trainee, and just right after Leah graduated from trainee,” Eve said.
“Well, two, if you count Jacob,” Marcus said.
“Funny, Marcus, but I'm not here to train. I'm here to make sure Zoe gets it and she stays safe,” Jacob said.
Marcus's eyebrow went up. “You don't think I can keep her safe?”
“I think he's worried about us, Marcus. You have nothing to worry about, Jacob, we only occasionally bite,” Eve said.
“I think he just likes Zoe,” Leah mumbled under her breath. Fortunately for her, nobody heard her.
“Is it alright if he does stay, I think I'll be less of hassle that way,” Zoe said.
“Oh, yeah, it's fine. We were just giving him a hard time,” Marcus said. “Did you know that Jacob and I are cousins?”
“Really?” Zoe said.
“Yeah, everybody's related down here in some way or another,” Eve said. “Common ancestor, you know. That's why we don't use last names, we all have the same one.”
“We don't use last names in the Glass world either, we use identity numbers. For instance my name is Zoe 54372111,” she said.
“Wouldn't that be really hard to memorize? I mean all those numbers, for every person,” Leah said.
“Oh, no, you don't memorize everyone's number, just your own,” Zoe said.
“So you're here for less then an entire day and they put you to work?” Eve said changing the subject.
“Oh, well, I volunteered. I feel like I should earn the hospitality I've been getting,” she said.
“You keep that attitude, you'll fit in in no time,” Marcus said.
“That would be the first time,” Zoe said.
“The first time you did what? Work?” Marcus asked.
“No, the first time I'd fit in.”
The kids just silently looked at her until Eve said, “You must have fit in with your group of friends, right?”
Zoe looked at the group. She worried that she had said something wrong. “Uh, no, not really. I didn't really have any friends.”
“That's so sad,” Leah said. Zoe just looked at her.
“What about that blue-haired boy? He's your friend, right?” Eve asked.
“No, don't get me wrong, we're friends now. But we weren't yesterday morning.” Zoe sighed. “It's funny how people will change when the circumstances do.” She looked at her shoes.
“Well, dear, the tribe already adores you, so you don't have to worry about not fitting in here,” Eve said smiling. Zoe smiled as well. She had never felt so loved.
“Let's get to work,” Marcus said. “Zoe, you stick with Eve. She'll show you what to do. Leah, Jacob, you two come help me.”
“But-” Jacob protested.
Marcus just looked at him, and the three of them left.

The Forgotten World Part 14

Yay!!! Part 14!!! You have no idea how bad my writer's block was. It's gone now so you'll probably get a lot more soon. I'm excited to write more but I've been working on this for an hour and I need to do homework.

The Forgotten World Part 13

The next morning Zoe woke up when Ruth gently tapped her shoulder and told her to wake up. She opened her eyes quickly and looked around remembering where she was. Today was her real first official day in the tribe. She watched Ruth go around the circle and wake up Rocky and Rachel as well just as gently. When she woke Rachel up, she reached up and grunted. Her mother leaned down and picked her up. “Come on, Rachel, you get to help mommy make breakfast for the tribe this morning,” she said very softly, kissing Rachel on the cheek.
Zoe stared, not being quite able to understand what she saw. The tribe was different from her culture, she knew this, but this was how some mothers treated their daughters but there was something different about this interaction, something that she had never seen before.
This staring was not lost on Ruth, unfortunately she misinterpreted it as Zoe being confused about what she was supposed to do. She put Rachel back on the ground, still holding her hand, and walked over to Zoe. “You see those clothes over on the counter, those are for you and Rocky, your clothes are the ones with the pendant on top. That's a gift from Mother Sarah to welcome you in the tribe. Rocky was given a jacket, it's quite warm, he doesn't need to put it on yet. After that, Leah can show you where the brush is and other things are. We'll get you on the showering schedule as soon as possible. We typically take a shower every other day,” she said. “Is there anything else I can help you with?”
“What can I help with?” Zoe said.
Leah, who had been listening, immediately chipped in, “Mom, she can help with the herding. I can show her how.”
“You're quite eager, aren't you, Zoe? That might not be a bad idea. Go talk to Marcus and see what he says,” she said. Leah ran out of the room.

The Last Girl on Earth Part 2

This reminds me of something you'd see off the Disney Channel. Which I love.

The Last Girl on Earth Part 1

I pulled my history book into my bag and searched through my locker to see if there was any other book I would need for homework tonight. McKenna Penworth walked up with her nose in the air and that satisfied snooty look about her. I was hoping she wouldn't stop to brag to me.
She did. "Rachel," she said very friendly. "I heard you were waiting for Dominic to ask you to dance. You don't have to wait anymore, he asked me."
She paused waiting for a response. Probably an outraged cry of disbelieve. There was none. I was disappointed but I wasn't going to give her that satisfaction.
She continued. "Anyway, I don't know why you even thought he was going to ask you. He doesn't like you, at all. He'd probably sooner ask his own cousin to the dance then you, and she's kind of a freak."
She paused. No reaction.
"Let's face it, Rachel, he wouldn't ask you if you were the last girl on Earth." And with that she flipped around with a satisfied "Hmm" and walked away.
That's when Natalie came up from around the back. "I just saw you talking to McKenna. That can't be good," she said.
"Dominic asked McKenna to the dance," I said closing my locker and sighing.
Her face dropped into the shocked expression that McKenna expected me to have. "Oh my gosh, Rachel, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" she asked.
"I'm fine. Now I'm just hoping that I'll just get asked to the dance," I said.
"Anyone who doesn't ask you is an idiot," she said.
"Thanks, Natalie," I said. "I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yep, sure thing. See you tomorrow," she said as she gave me a hug.

As I walked inside I was received with a horrible stench of boys. That's what happens when you have four brothers. I'm the only the girl out of five. Two older: Joe, who's 19; William, who's 17; and then the twins who are two years younger then me: Clayton and Christian. I made my way to the kitchen only almost getting ran over once by the twins who were chasing each other.
My mom was sitting at the table leaning over her laptop with papers all around her. When she saw me come in she said, "Hey, sweetheart, what's up?"
"McKenna's really mean, and Dominic asked her to the dance," I said sitting down right next to her.
"Aw, I'm sorry. You said this was a casual dance though, right? Maybe he's saving the best for Prom," she said.
"Thanks for your optimism, mom. McKenna said I had no chance with him, though," I said.
"She probably just said that because she's jealous of you," she said.
"Jealous? Of me? I'm the most average person ever. I'm not super pretty but I'm not ugly. I'm not a straight A student but I don't fail classes. I'm not rich but I'm not poor. I'm not blond, or a red head, I'm just a brunette. Even my height, five feet four inches is the national average for women. There's nothing special about me, I'm just average," I said.
"I think your more then just average. You're very smart, you always stand up for what's right. Why I bet you, someday, you're going to do something very special. And when people look back at you, I guarantee the first word that comes to their mind won't be average," she said smiling at me.

The Last Girl on Earth Part 1

Just so you know, I love fluff.

I quickly moved down the hall practically running. I was going to be late for class again. That was something that I could not afford. As I rushed into class Mrs. Johanson turned to glare at me right as the bell rang.
"Right on time, Rachel. Next time you might not be so lucky," she said. "Okay, class, we'll wait for announcements and then you can just go ahead and continue on your projects."
It wasn't too long after when the announcements did start. An eager girl accompanied by a bored boy told us of upcoming events, lunch menu for the day, and other completely boring things that we either didn't care about or already knew. Yet, whenever we started talking we were quickly hushed by our teacher who wasn't listening either but was told to make sure we were listening.
There was one announcement that caught my attention though, the boy's choice dance coming up. I was eagerly hoping that my crush, Dominic, would ask me. I'd been playing it up all week with him. Casually mentioning that I hadn't been asked to the dance, flirting to a casual limit, and spending a lot of time with him. Well, as much as possible, considering the circumstances. Not only that but this dance was a casual one, which means it would be cheaper which means guys are much more willing to ask.
As announcements ended I pulled my desk to join my best friend in the entire world, Natalie. "Do you know if Dominic has asked anyone to the dance yet?" I asked her.
"He hasn't," Natalie said. "I heard that he's planning on going though."
"I hope he asks soon. I'm just waiting on the brink of hopeless disappointment or overwhelming bliss," I said.
"You're over exaggerating, a lot," she said. "You can be so dramatic at times."

In the Cavern

So this story is really really weird but it was another dream I had. I didn't want to write about it, because it was so weird, but I had this dream months ago and I still think it's a good idea. Anyway, bear with me as I try to make my really weird dream into a story.

Jenna sat with her four best friends around the cafe's outside table. Most of the girls were sitting and chatting about classes, boys, and other things but when Jenna looked over she noticed Sara clenched her lemonade tightly without drinking it and was silently staring off into space. The look on her face wasn't one of anger though, instead her eyes were thoughtful, like her mind was somewhere else.
"Sara?" Jenna asked.
She broke out of her trance and looked up.
"Is something wrong?" Jenna continued.
"It's my aunt. I heard that she's in town."
"You don't like your aunt?" Megan asked.
"She's evil. She's a witch and she hates me and my family with a passion. I didn't tell you guys this but she's the reason my dad is dead, but the authorities can't prove it." She leaned her head on her hands and sighed. "She wants to kill the rest of my family as well."
"Are you serious?" Aimee asked.
She opened her mouth to answer that question when Caleb and his friends came riding up on their skateboards. Jenna audibly groaned and looked at the boys daring them to stop. Unfortunately for her, they couldn't resist a dare.
Caleb was the first to stop and he winked at the girls as he kicked up his skateboard and caught it in his hand with the design underneath showing. It was a crude design of some sort of skeleton on fire and all sorts of odd colorful designs surrounding it. His friends followed.
"'Sup?" Caleb asked sitting down next to Sara. Once again his friends joined him and sat down at the table.
"Why don't you just leave us alone, Caleb?" Jenna said with a glare.
"And miss looking in to that pretty face?" he said.
She rolled her eyes and audibly huffed.
Then all went black.
